*OPHA 2012 Proposals due Monday, June 25th*

The deadline to submit a proposal for the  Oregon Public Health Association
invites proposals for our 68th Annual Conference & Meeting is this Monday,
June 25th. The conference will be held in Corvallis, Oregon on October 8 &
9 2012. OPHA 2012 will be jointly held with the Oregon Environmental Health
Association (OEHA) and feature scores of posters, sessions, networking
opportunities, exhibits and a keynote speech by Dr. Richard Jackson.

Abstracts addressing all public health topics are welcome and may be
submitted for individual presentations, panel discussions, or posters.* **A
fully paid conference registration is required of all presenters: no
exceptions.** *OPHA 2012 conference registration fees are:

OPHA members, general admission both days $90
OPHA members, one day only $80
OPHA members, student/retiree both days $40
OPHA members, student/retiree one day $30
Non-member, general admission both days $140
Non-member, general admission one day $130
Non-member, student retiree both days $60
Non-member, student/retiree, one day only $50

Late registration (last two weeks) fees increased $20 across the board.

*Individual Oral Presentation:* Oral presentations are 15 minutes in length
and are grouped according to theme into a single session that is 1 hour 15
minutes in length. Normally there are three 15 minute oral presentations
per session allowing 30 minutes for questions and discussion.

*Panel Discussion:* Panel discussions are 1 hour 15 minutes in length,
including time for questions. Due to time constraints only a limited number
of panel discussions will be accepted and offered at the conference.

*Poster:* Posters are visual presentations displayed on 4’ x 8’ bulletin
boards. During the Poster Session, presenters stand next to their displays
to explain content and answer questions. The poster session is scheduled
for Monday, October 8 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.

Abstracts will be peer reviewed and accepted on the basis of the following
criteria:

   - Clarity and Quality
   - Usefulness of the topic to public health professionals

All submissions must include learning objectives. You do not need to be a
member of either OPHA or OEHA to present at the conference.

   - All presenters must be available at any time during the two days of
   the conference.
   - Deadline for proposal submissions is June 25, 2012.
   - No abstracts will be accepted after this date.
   - Presenters will be notified by August 15, 2012.
