Portland Community College (PCC) is seeking to hire a Library Access
Services Manager.  Under the direction of the College Library Director, the
Access Services Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the Access
Services division. The scope of responsibility includes all libraries and
points of service delivery at the college. The person in this position
participates in the development, recommendation, and administration of
division policies, procedures, and processes.  This is a full-time
management position.

PCC’s libraries are vibrant educational centers that align services with
the college’s stated priorities.  Access Services is known for providing
excellent student-centered service and for working collaboratively within
the Orbis Cascade Alliance.  The successful candidate for this position
will be a leader with excellent communication skills who values working in
an atmosphere of mutual respect among employees, and who will act as a
mentor in supporting staff with professional development and growth.

This position is located at the Sylvania campus, but will successful
candidate will be required to travel to locations periodically.  A typical
workweek is Monday through Friday days, but there may be occasional
exceptions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Master's degree in Library Science from an American Library
Association accredited institution or a Bachelor's degree in Library
Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant experience
may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

·         Three years of progressively responsible experience related to
areas of assignment, including one year of supervisory experience.
