I am sorry to share this sad news with colleagues in the northwest. Many
of us were honored to work with Eileen over the years. She will be missed.

Subject: Eileen Bell-Garrison

I regret to share with you the news that Eileen Bell-Garrison passed away
this morning after a long fight with cancer. Eileen was a pioneer in
establishing and facilitating consortial relationships and was instrumental
in bringing school, public, and academic libraries together to share
resources in times when such agreements were rare. She had a great deal of
compassion for all of our needs and the patience to work through sometimes
thorny situations until we were all able to work as one.

She was a courageous woman and I learned much from her in my over thirty
years of working with her. Her loss, for me, is both personal and
professional, and I know that I am not alone in this feeling.

At this point, there is no information regarding a service.

Peace be with us all,

Lynn
