You may have heard the recent news about Douglas County and the Vote "Yes"
on Measure 10-145 campaign that is trying to prevent the region's 11
libraries from permanent closure. DCLS Library Director Harold Hayes has
written an informative article that will clarify any remaining questions.
In his article, Douglas County’s ‘Long and Winding Road,' Harold describes
how their libraries have been kept open temporarily by unprecedented grants
from The Ford Family Foundation and the Oregon Community Foundation
totaling $500,000, and how their future depends on success at the ballot
box. For more information about the campaign see:

Please feel free to share this information widely.
