[Libs-Or] Sources for public library policies

The consultants here at the State Library are often asked for examples of public library policies. Our colleagues in Colorado, in collaboration with the Association of Small and Rural Libraries (ARSL), have recently launched a new web site collection of policies, the Public Library Policy Collection<http://bit.ly/publibpolicies>. The collection places special emphasis on policies for small public libraries.

You are encouraged to use this site to search and download policies to revise for your needs as well as to submit your own policies and help grow the collection.

Another great source for public library policy examples is the Library Trustee Association of New York Policy Database<http://www.librarytrustees.org/draft/policies.php>

Of course, the State Library consultants<https://www.oregon.gov/osl/LD/Pages/contact_us_directory.aspx> are still happy to answer questions about library policies if you can't find what you need in these resources ... feel free to contact us!
