[OMS_MANAGERS] Tracking volunteer hours within your accounting system

Suzanne,

 

Does iVolunteer track hours? Have your volunteers embraced signing up? Which
version are you using Free or paid?

 

For high school sports we use SignUp.com (formerly called
VolunteerSpot.com). It's been working great. It alerts me when folks signup
to help and it sends them an automated reminder email (emails are kept
private and only used for this purpose). It's free for as many volunteers
and events as you need (it does have ads). Only one administrator on the
free version. Individual signups can be handed off. They call it "pass the
baton." You can duplicate a previous event. As far as I know it doesn't
tracks hours, but at least you have a list of who was there and how long the
shifts are. 

 

It very easy for volunteers to sign up and they don't have to be "a member"
or login. It works off a link. I'm sharing a current SignUp, if anyone wants
to see what it looks like and how it functions. (if you want to bring
cookies and see a Water Polo game feel free to sign up :))

We need snacks for our players. We will also be making a basket/bucket for
the Visiting Team for their ride home.

I've been considering using it SignUp.com to automate our volunteer signups
then we can bulk enter the hours into Maestro.
