It was a great week for early literacy around Oregon this week - If you haven't heard OPB's highlight of kids' spaces, have a listen<https://www.opb.org/article/2024/02/05/how-some-northwest-libraries-are-meeting-the-needs-of-kids-in-their-communities/>! I'm grateful for these voices advocating for play spaces for families and kids in our libraries. There are so few free spaces for families to play together - it's so exciting to have this be a focus in expanding library buildings to foster early literacy. Sweet Home has a fun new playing addition to their kids' space, with their pillow fort<https://www.facebook.com/SweetHomePublicLibrary/posts/pfbid022Yk9DsChtSbTjLTXyAZfA9UkQrJj6ehzoHZax1ArFbkcNjT7r6dwDawJfZreXqRMl>. And Curry Public Library District is celebrating new board books<https://www.facebook.com/currypubliclibrary/posts/pfbid02VVRxuNReFSU938uKZMFcJBD9DdeAiesgXecbSgcNMm8enJQpj2SKeHncZgToqEVGl>.
