Hello OSMN,

The Health Evidence Review Commission (HERC) is looking at potentially expand coverage for CGM (continuous glucose monitoring) for people with diabetes on OHP. They have a survey they want to share with people on OHP who might want to use CGM to understand better how using CGM might affect their quality of life.

The audience of this survey is: Oregon Health Plan (OHP)/Medicaid members or a caregiver/parent of an OHP member who uses insulin to manage their Type 2 diabetes. The survey is in Spanish and English, below.

The timeline is tight, especially for reaching patients and caregivers. We believe this is because of a HERC process deadline and that it cannot be pushed out. If it is possible for you to ask any patients or caregivers to complete this, it could provide support for expanded CGM coverage.

Thanks so much,

Lizzie

The Oregon Heath Authority's (OHA) Heath Evidence Review Commission<https://www.oregon.gov/oha/HPA/DSI-HERC/Pages/index.aspx> (HERC) wants your help. The Commission needs input from our partners about Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGM), a wearable device that checks blood sugar levels. Currently, the Oregon Health Plan (OHP)/Medicaid covers this monitor for people who have Type 1 diabetes. HERC is considering making the monitor available to people who use insulin to manage their Type 2 diabetes. HERC asks you to take a 5-minute survey<https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HERC-CGM> that will help the Commission as it considers this decision. The survey may also be used to improve how OHA manages access to monitors.

This survey is open to Oregon Health Plan (OHP)/Medicaid member or a caregiver/parent of an OHP member who uses insulin to manage their Type 2 diabetes. Thank you for considering helping us with this important topic. The survey<https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HERC-CGM> closes at 8 am on May 30, 2023.
