               ARE YOU INTERESTED IN SHARING YOUR KNOWLEDGE?

SORA is looking for state employees willing to host a job shadow or informational interview.
If you are interested in making time to build your own network, while volunteering to teach your peers something new, then this is what you have been waiting for!

Informational Interview: (typically 30 minutes - 1 hour)
Informational interviews provide state employees an opportunity to sit down one-on-one and learn about the employee's role, and potential to gain valuable insight into career development skills. Example: An employee asks to sit down over coffee and discuss what it's like working at a particular agency while learning what the job entails.

Job Shadowing: (typically 1 - 2 hours)
Job shadowing is a highly effective, low-cost tool used by many organizations to enhance career and leadership development. A job shadow experience allows an employee from one part of state government to spend time with an employee in another role or agency to observe and gain first-hand experience of their day-to-day work. Example: A program analyst shadows an operations and policy analyst during legislative session to learn more about legislative analysis.
