We've got two great presentations coming up on October 23rd, including one on best practices in data quality from Ed Vawter.

Five Types of Data Issues and Ten Practical Tips to Prevent Them
Ed Vawter, Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services
Typical data errors in research analysts' reports fall into five categories. These will be outlined in this presentation as well as ten suggests to identify and prevent them. The examples will be drawn from Workers' Compensation Claims data but the principles apply to any report or data subset. The data checks outlined are software agnostic and can be applied with any software such as SAS, Excel, SPSS or the language R.
