[Answerland] FW: Getting Started with Answerland chat reference

Good afternoon Gesse,

I am working on adding two replacement librarians to Answerland beginning November 1, and it turns out the training materials I’ve been sharing are no longer working. This is what I’ve been asking them to go through:

     *
Answerland Training for New Staff<https://my.nicheacademy.com/oregonstaff/course/7491> online training
     *
Staffing Answerland: A Primer for Library Staff<https://libguides.osl.state.or.us/ld.php?content_id=58594820>
     *
https://libguides.osl.state.or.us/answerland/bestpractices
     *
Answerland Shift Basics<https://libguides.osl.state.or.us/ld.php?content_id=45902073>

However, as Miriam noted in her email below, items 2-4 all lead to dead ends, and the Niche Academy training also sends learners to those resources. Understanding the future of Answerland is tenuous, where should I send my team to look for onboarding training right now?

Thanks,
Genifer

The link to “Staffing Answerland” appears to have a problem… however, the link to Answerland Training for New Staff seems to include a section titled Staffing Answerland – is that the same info?

Also, all three of the 2-4th links below have some issues “Unknown LibGuides Domain”

And to add to it – some of the links from within nicheacademy lead to the same libguides fail

Hi everyone,

Thank you for agreeing to participate in the Answerland chat co-op. We’d like you to begin your shifts at the start of November but before that, you’ll need to complete some online training.

Actions:

  1.  By October 28th, complete:

     * Answerland Training for New Staff<https://my.nicheacademy.com/oregonstaff/course/7491> online training

     * Staffing Answerland: A Primer for Library Staff<https://libguides.osl.state.or.us/ld.php?content_id=58594820>

     *   https://libguides.osl.state.or.us/answerland/bestpractices

     *   Answerland Shift Basics<https://libguides.osl.state.or.us/ld.php?content_id=45902073>

  1. Notify me by email when you’ve completed those trainings.

After you’ve completed the training, you will:

  1. Be added to the Answerland LibStaffer system
  2. Be added to the Answerland chat queues in LibAnswers
  3. Begin taking on shifts on/after November 6th.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Kristin and me or drop your questions in the Answerland Teams channel.

Best,
Genifer
