[Busmgrs] 17-18 state school fund estimate

Good Morning

Boy the days are flying by right now. As promised, I have rebalanced the state school fund with many updates. There are a few notes I would like to pass to help everyone understand where the data is coming from for this estimate.

As many of you know poverty weights decreased across the state along with a decrease in the Common School Fund. On a positive note there was a nice increase in local revenue at the mid-year that were imported to the funding formula. Another change was SB 182 which increased network of quality teaching and learning to $6 Million for the biennium. You will see this reflected in the carve outs on the assumptions page. At this time of year the December to June ratio is also part of the formula for calculating your weights.

For 2016-17 I have imported Annual cumulative ADM. This updates pregnant and parenting, ESL and teacher experience.

For 2017-18 I am using 2nd period Cumulative ADM. This also updates pregnant and parenting, ESL and teacher experience. Along with those updates I imported the latest local revenue estimates you submitted in the 2018-19 estimate of membership and revenue.

I will have the 2018-19 estimate out soon.
