See attached for the most updated 2023 Winter Holiday Resource List.

This is a yearly accumulation of many resources out there for winter holiday food, holiday meals and holiday toys for kids.

Please note: Unfortunately, this document is attached in English only - we have requested and are waiting for the Spanish translation from our Publications folks in Salem. We will send it out as soon as we get it!

Did you know that families receiving SNAP benefits (food stamps) can gain free or reduced admission to many museums simply by presenting their EBT card and a photo ID?  Below is a list of local museums participating in the Museums for All program.  Please pass this along to families!  For more info, see: https://museums4all.org/

Attached is a scholarship application for a 40% waiver or fee reduction to Kidsports.

For the full sports seasons, the scholarship amount is 40% off the registration fee, excluding additional fees such as equipment, uniforms, etc. For other camps and clinics, there is a flat rate scholarship discount that is 25% off the registration fee.

Some schools are offering an "Adopt a Child" voucher through the schools which cover the whole cost to register for Kidsports. You can call Kidsports to ask whether your school has vouchers.

If a family applies IN-PERSON there is a possibility that the family could be eligible to only pay $20 for the uniform and all other costs will be waived pending their income to expense application.

WHAT: Pregnancy and Early Postpartum Group. This 6-week group is for expecting parents or parents in early postpartum (~6 months).
WHEN: on Tuesdays, starting November 14th, from 9-11am
WHERE: Center for Family Development

This group is FREE for all participants thanks to a grant from the Early Childhood Hub of Lane County and is open to all, whether a client of CFD or not.
For more information (about this group or other perinatal groups at CFD) or to enroll in the group, please contact Melissa at (541) 735-1635 or mkidman at c-f-d.org. We regularly offer free perinatal groups for parents with children of ages 6 and under. Folks can be added to our waitlist at any time and then contacted when a new group is beginning. Feel free to reach out even if a client cannot attend this particular group.
