[Big news: SNAP, TANF and TA-DVS benefits have been restored for Compacts of Free Association (COFA) citizens.    Citizens of COFA nations – Marshall Islands, Micronesia, and Palau – are allowed to live, work, and study in the U.S. as legal residents, but had been denied the opportunity to receive food benefits through SNAP since 1996. We celebrate this important correction in US policy!    Please note: if a COFA citizen applied for benefits over the past few months and was denied, please try again! Contact Oregon Department of Human Services to apply.]

Families who receive Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) may be eligible to receive the Nonrecurrent Short-Term (NRST) payment for seasonal clothing needs for their children<https://www.oregon.gov/odhs/cash/pages/tanf.aspx>. This payment is often referred to as a Tri-annual clothing allowance due to the frequency of payments. Families will receive a notice via mail before the issuance date notifying them of the payment.

  *   May: To receive payment, TANF must have been received in March. This payment is to meet the summer clothing needs of children.
  *   August: To receive payment, TANF must have been received in June. This payment is to meet back to school clothing needs of children.
  *   November: To receive payment, TANF must have been received in September. This payment is to meet winter clothing needs of children.

St. Vincent de Paul will be opening the waitlist for Aurora Apartments<https://www.instagram.com/p/C-0aGGLufiB/?igsh=N3Rkd3Vub3I2Y2p5> in Eugene this week. Applications are now available online and will be accepted on Friday, Aug 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

WHY SUCH A SHORT APPLICATION WINDOW?
The waitlists usually fill within the first five minutes of being opened.

HOW DO I SUBMIT?
Please submit your application one of the following three ways.

2. In person at our office in Eugene on 2890 Chad Drive.

IS THERE AN INCOME REQUIREMENT OR INCOME LIMIT?
There is no minimum income requirement to apply for the waitlist. Maximum income limits vary property to property and are based on household size. These rental units are for persons at or below 50 percent of area median income.

There are many barriers for people within the queer, trans/gender-diverse, BIPOC. and/or disabled communities when it comes to having positive and rewarding outdoor experiences, and yet, nature is for everyone. That’s why TransPonder is proud to be partnering with the Mt. Pisgah Arboretum and Cascadia Wildlands for an evening of nature-based fun specifically created for queer, trans, and other marginalized folks.

The CCS OASIS program is a day program for families experiencing homelessness in Springfield.

OASIS offers:

  *   A safe daytime drop-in center
  *   Access to laundry, showers and restrooms
  *   Kitchen to prepare meals
  *   Help finding affordable housing
  *   Help finding a job

The monthly benefit for each eligible child is $40, or a summer total of $120.

Children are eligible if:

  *   Their household already participates in SNAP, TANF or OHP
  *   They go to a school that offers the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or School Breakfast Program (SBP) and their household meets the income requirements for free or reduced-price meals
  *   They attend a school that offers the NSLP or SBP and is enrolled in migrant programs, experiencing homelessness, participating in Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations, or attending Head Start

About 70% of children will have streamlined access to Summer EBT, but around 30% will need to apply. Summer EBT payments should begin in June of this year.

This website is intended to help those in our community seeking shelter either for themselves, or for someone else, know what shelters have beds available on a given night and what criteria there are for accessing those shelters.

Those accessing the site can filter through the shelters based on unique needs and be pointed in the direction of those shelters that best meet those needs. Additionally, by clicking on the bed icons located on the embedded map, site visitors can see information about the shelters including pictures, intake information, what they can expect when accessing and other important details.
