You are invited to join the National Crime Victim Law Institute on May 11-12, 2017 in Portland, Oregon, for our annual Crime Victim Law Conference<http://ncvli.us13.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=83441b2c6399fe12087770fff&id=bb64723b30&e=0d225582bc>.  The Conference, which is now in its 16th year, is designed for attorneys, advocates, and other professionals serving victims!

This year’s Conference, themed: No Voice, No Justice: Time to Get Loud, features plenary sessions, breakout sessions, and roundtable discussions addressing a wide range of topics critical to the victims' rights community.

Opening Plenary:

  *   Bob Marriott and Attorney Rus Rilee will discuss the fight for post-trial privacy for Bob's daughter as they share the story of fighting for rape shield protections before the New Hampshire Supreme Court
Breakout sessions include:

  *   Tort Suits and Financial Compensation for DV Survivors – Sonya Passi, JD and Amira Samuel, JD of FreeFrom
  *   A Victim’s Right to Finality – Is a Criminal Case Ever Over and If So How Can a Victim be Heard? – Russell Butler, JD of Maryland Crime Victims Resource Center
  *   Creating a Vicarious Trauma-Informed Organization – Janet Fine, MS and Karen Kalergis, MA of the Vicarious Trauma Toolkit Project, Northeastern University Institute on Urban Health Research and Practice
  *   Teaching and Training Special Victim Council: Representing Adult and Child Victims of Sexual Assault in the Military – MAJ Kristen Fricchione, JD and Patti Sudendorf, JD of The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center & School

The Conference will be held at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon on Thursday, May 11th and Friday, May 12th.  We look forward to seeing you!
