A couple of announcements:

Today, I selected an incorrect option in the listserv settings that caused the release of a message that was not intended for consumption on the DV_listserv. That was my error, and I apologize to anyone that felt they should not have received it.

DV Listserv: This listserv [DV_listserv] will continue be used to send out announcements, case law and legal updates, news stories, and other DV related information. This is a moderated listserv, and information cannot be sent directly to the listserv by members. If there are announcements that you would like me to share, you can send an email directly to me with that request. Anyone interested in DV issues or working in fields related to DV prosecution, investigation, probation, judges, advocates, victims' rights attorneys, etc can join this listserv. Please feel free to share this information with others in your office. If you are not already signed up, you can sign up for this listserv here: http://listsmart.osl.state.or.us/mailman/listinfo/dv_listserv

NEW!! DVProsecutors Listserv: There is a new listserv that prosecutors and law enforcement can now access. The purpose of the new [DVProsecutors] listserv is to allow for direct communication between each other - similar to the DUII and Child Abuse Prosecutor listservs. This is not a "moderated" listserv, thereby allowing for immediate delivery of the emails. This list can be used to talk about specific issues related to DV investigation and prosecution and trial issues. This is a brand new list- so you must sign up to be added to the list. Please sign up here: http://listsmart.osl.state.or.us/mailman/listinfo/dvprosecutors You must use a government issued email address, and please include your name AND agency when signing up- otherwise your request may be denied. You will get a confirmation email when you are added.

DV Bootcamp: SAVE THE DATE! October 24-26 in Salem. Flyer is attached. This training is limited to 30 prosecutors, and there will be 20 lodging scholarships for individuals traveling more than 50 miles one way.
