 *   FY 2007 – FY 2009 Funding Status.  The FCC has approved the SLD’s PIA procedures for FY 2009, clearing the way for the first wave of funding later this month.  Wave 46 for FY 2008 will be released on April 7th.  Again, there will be no funding wave for FY 2007.
 *   Charter Communications, Bankruptcies, and BEAR Payments.  The bankruptcy filing by Charter Communications highlights the importance of careful handling of BEAR payments flowing through a bankrupt company.
 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  USAC’s most recent Semi-Annual Recovery Report shows a 60% increase in funds subject to recovery from applicants.  Commissioner and staff changes at the FCC may delay E-rate decisions.  The SLD’s online Form 470 system can now be used for FY 2010.
 *   Schools and Libraries News Brief Dated April 3rd.  The SLD’s most recent News Brief discusses corrective SPIN changes.
