 *   FY 2008 Funding Status.  Wave 47 for FY 2008 will be released on April 147th.
 *   Audits: A Stunning Milestone.  For the first time, the SLD’s audit budget is higher than program operations costs.
 *   FCC Development of a National Broadband Plan.  ARRA provides $7.2 billion in stimulus funds for expanded broadband deployment.  The FCC is charged with developing a plan for this effort and has just issued a Notice of Inquiry to solicit comments.
 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  The SLD has updated the language on its SPIN Contact Search database.  The previous ETP field has been relabeled “Form 499 filer,” with designations of “X,” “Y,” and “Z.”
 *   Schools and Libraries News Brief Dated April 3rd.  The SLD’s most recent News Brief announces a broader definition of eligible Web hosting for FY 2009, and discusses the procedural implications.
