 *   FY 2008 – FY 2010 Funding Status.  No funding wave for FY 2008 will be issued this week.  Wave 26 for FY 2009 will be released on Tuesday.  Although there is no change in Priority 2 funding for FY 2009, the SLD is set to lower the threshold to 80% as soon as the FCC approves.  The tentative application window for FY 2010 is December 1, 2009 to February 15, 2010.
 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  Applicants who missed the late October deadlines for filing BEARs or Form 486s need to request extensions and/or respond to USAC reminders in a timely fashion.  Copies of training slides used in this fall’s E-rate workshops are available online.   The tough economic environment is increasing participation in the National School Lunch Program.  The FCC received an interesting report comparing Internet speeds on a state-by-state basis.
 *   Schools and Libraries News Brief dated October 30th.   Last week’s News Brief reviews the rules for filing Form 470s.   E-Rate Central discusses common Form 470 filing problems.
