 *   Funding Status.  Wave 17 for FY 2011 and Wave 70 for FY 2010 are scheduled for this week. Priority 2 funding at 90% for FY 2011 is scheduled to begin next week.
 *   Gift Rules Update.  The SLD's fall training workshops provide further clarification on the E-rate gift rules, but important questions remain unanswered.
 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  The FCC proposes to replace the Universal Service Fund with the Connect America Fund.  The president of ERC pled guilty to E-rate payment fraud.  The SLD's fall training continues; many states will also provide training.
 *   Schools and Libraries News Brief dated October 7.  Last week's News Brief reviews the eligibility of schools, libraries, and service providers to participate in the E-rate program.
