  *   Funding Status.  The FY 2013 application window opened December 12 and will close March 14.  Funding waves for FY 2011 and FY 2012 are scheduled for this week.
  *   E-Rate and the Fiscal Cliff.  The federal Fiscal Cliff will not have a direct effect on E-rate funding per se, but E-rate is facing its own fiscal cliff beginning with FY 2013.
  *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders. The FCC released one large appeal decision last week.
  *   SLD News Brief for December 14.  The SLD's last News Brief discusses the SLD's new Form 470 download tool (designed primarily for service providers).
