Some Important Info:

Technology Plans can be submitted at any time to ode.techplans at ode.state.or.us<mailto:ode.techplans at ode.state.or.us>. I have attached the list of the 4 main criteria for e-Rate technology plans (it has not changed since last year). Keep in mind that tech plans are only required for Priority 2 applicants at this time. Plans must be read and approved by June 30th 2012, or the start of service (receipt of equipment).   *   Funding Status.  Wave 45 for FY 2011 will be released this week.  The first wave for FY 2012 should be released later this month.
  *   FCC Reform of the USF Contributions System.  The FCC is requesting comments on proposed reforms of the USF funding mechanism.  Changes are likely to increase the number of contributors to the Fund, but are not designed to increase the total amount collected.
  *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  The FCC established application procedures for telecom carriers seeking funding for a pilot digital literacy program; schools and libraries may partner with these carriers.  The FCC posted three new E-rate appeal orders and two errata for earlier orders affecting 28 applicants.  The Senate has confirmed the nomination of two new FCC Commissioners.
  *   Schools and Libraries News Brief Dated May 11.  The SLD's latest News Brief discusses the invoicing of recurring service discounts for FY 2011.
