We would like to invite you, or someone you know, to submit a proposal for breakout sessions at the 2014 Oregon School Employee Wellness Conference: The Power of US! being held March 23-25th, 2014 in Bend, Oregon.

The conference is made possible because of OEA Choice Trust's partnerships with the Moda Health, Oregon School Boards Association, OEA/NEA, Confederation of Oregon School Administrators, Kaiser Permanente, Crook County Public Health, Oregon Public Health Division, Oregon ASCD, Oregon Department of Education’s Child Nutrition Services, and Oregon Educators Benefit Board.

Our overarching goal for the 2014 Oregon School Employee Wellness conference is to engage school employees in creating healthier school environments that supports the physical, social, and emotional health and well-being of staff and students.

Our Conference Objectives are to:

1.    Build personal awareness and skills to promote overall health.

  1.  Create a culture of wellness at schools to support the physical, emotional and social health of school employees and students.
  2.  Make the case for healthy school employees and the connection to student learning and success.
  3.  Form wellness teams to plan and implement sustainable school employee wellness programs at schools, ESDs and Community Colleges.
  4.  Access and use national, state and local effective practices and resources to advance school employee wellness.
  5.  Make system and environmental changes to ensure equity and reduce health and education disparities.

If you, or someone you know, has an exciting presentation that aligns with our conference goals and objectives, we encourage you to submit a proposal.  For more information and to submit a proposal please review the attached Call for Presentation Proposals.

Proposal submissions are due by 5pm (Pacific Time) on Tuesday, December 10th 2013.
