Subject: Change Agent Training

Hello,
As information about HPCDP Grantee training schedule and opportunities has been circulating, we wanted share a little information about the Change Agent Training Series.
Under the direction of HPCDP's Rebecca Pawlak, the Rede team is designing this training series to be an integrated leaning and coaching experience that is highly sensitive to grantee needs. The context for these trainings is tribal and county property policy work; we will work with participants to learn about the application of a policy change process within that context. At the same time, please know that we'll be working with ideas, concepts and skills that will be applicable to other policy change processes.
The training is open all grantees and will be applicable regardless of where you are with your tobacco free tribal/county property projects (even if you're pretty sure you're "done").
We strongly encourage you to consider attending the entire series. This will greatly improve the learning and coaching experience. While we would love to have grantees for the entire series, of course we will welcome you for any part of the series.
Over the course of the series, trainers/coaches will be: Robb Hutson, Rae Trotta, Stephanie Young-Peterson, Craig Mosbaek, Jill Hutson and other invited experts. Attached to this email is a high-level overview of learning objective for the series.
Please feel free to call any member of the Rede team with ideas, thoughts or questions about this training.
We are looking forward to seeing many of you in beautiful Baker City!
Best to all,
JH

And P.S. - if you haven't experienced Baker County in early September, this training might afford you an opportunity not to be missed. Personally, I will be taking the short drive to Anthony Lakes during the evening of September 10 for one of the best hikes in Oregon. And, there's still space in my car for interested hikers.
