Subject: 2016 Oregon School Employee Wellness Conference: Call for Presentation Proposals due 12/1/15

Greetings,

This year we are celebrating the 5th annual Oregon School Employee Wellness Conference! We would like to invite you, and those who inspire you, to submit a proposal for breakout sessions at the 2016 Oregon School Employee Wellness Conference, scheduled for March 20-22nd, 2016 in Bend, Oregon. Last year’s conference was a great success, with 200 participants coming from across the state and beyond!

The Oregon School Employee Wellness conference is made possible through OEA Choice Trust’s partnerships with Moda Health, Kaiser Permanente, Oregon Public Health Division, Oregon School Boards Association, Confederation of Oregon School Administrators, OEA/NEA, Multnomah ESD, Oregon ASCD, Oregon Department of Education’s Child Nutrition Services, and Oregon Educators Benefit Board.

For more information about the Oregon School Employee Wellness Conference, visit our website to see past conference agendas and breakout sessions at http://www.oeachoice.com/news-events/

The overarching goal for the 2016 Oregon School Employee Wellness Conference is to engage school employees in creating healthier school environments that supports the physical, social, and emotional health and well-being of staff and students.

We would like attendees to be able to:

  * Increase their personal awareness and skills to improve their overall health
  * Make the case for healthy school employees and the connection to student success
  * Establish a school team to develop a sustainable plan of action for school employee wellness at their school, district, and community
  * Build upon existing school employee wellness programs using proven and promising practices to boost success and sustainability
  * Utilize national, state, and local evidence-based resources to develop healthy school environments for staff and students
  * Participate in meaningful networking opportunities to share ideas, build collaborations, and connect to resources

If you, or someone you know, have an exciting presentation that aligns with our conference goals and objectives, we encourage you to submit a proposal. For more information and to submit a proposal, please review the attached Call for Presentation Proposals.

Proposal submissions are due by 5pm (PST) on Tuesday, December 1, 2015.

We look forward to receiving your proposal. Please help us spread the word!

Be well,

Inge Aldersebaes & Maureen Caldwell
