Hello everyone,

The new Oregon County Tobacco Fact Sheets are now available online here<https://public.health.oregon.gov/PreventionWellness/TobaccoPrevention/Pages/countyfacts.aspx>.

The fact sheets web page also includes associated data tables, as well as statistical and technical notes for the estimates in the fact sheets.

What's new?

*         Highlights from tobacco retail assessment data

*         Description of a comprehensive tobacco prevention and education program

*         Adult cigarette smoking prevalence is for the most current years rather than over time (due to differences in data collection and weighting methods over time)

*         Current cigarette and non-cigarette tobacco use among 8th and 11th graders

*         Hyperlink to smokefreeoregon.com for those interested in learning more (sends them to the county page)

Most of the new content was based on responses to the SurveyGizmo last year that asked about usefulness of the fact sheets and new content you would like to see.

We have scheduled a conference call on 9/9 from 1:30pm-2:30pm for people to call in with questions. I will spend a little bit of time going over the content of the fact sheets, but this time is primarily for your questions and feedback.
