Hello again Coordinators,

A couple of questions have come in regarding the Doodle Poll about hotel rooms for Place Matters and Grantees and Contractors. Here are some answers:


*        This poll will be closed at the end of the day tomorrow, Tuesday, March 8th and Rosalie will move forward on securing rooms based on responses received.


*        The conference will be held at the Oregon Convention Center n Northeast Portland, October 4-6, 2016.



*        If are driving from a location within 70 miles of the conference site, we are unable to pay for your hotel room. We can still arrange for a reservation for you, so if you want a reservation, please participate in the doodle poll and indicate name and "reservation only".



*        If you are expecting a SPArC coordinator or have another vacant position that you expect to have filled and will be attending the conference, please put in a placeholder reservation, labeled, for example, "Crook County SPArC Coordinator".


*        If you expect other staff at your office to attend, please send them the link or let me know by email how many people to reserve rooms for.



*        If you aren't sure whether you will need a room, put your best guess along with (tentative) next to your name. We realize that some grants may not be settled yet and are not worried about exact numbers at this point. This is just a head count so that we can plan as closely as possible to expected attendance for those whose rooms we are taking responsibility for arranging. There will be a reservation link sent to you sometime in the near future that will lock in your reservation. We will also communicate what the deadline is for canceling rooms without penalty. Rooms canceled after registration on the Beatty site and after the penalty deadline has passed will be your responsibility to cover.
