NASTAD has created a PrEP Cost Sharing Complaint Template resource (see link below) that patients and providers can use to file a complaint about an uncompliant health plan charging for PrEP services. We have created an Oregon specific template with contact information for our state’s department of insurance. That template is attached.

NASTAD is pleased to announce the release of the new PrEP Cost Sharing Complaint Template<https://nastad.org/resources/prep-cost-sharing-template> resource.



Since January 1, 2021, all qualified commercial health plans are required to cover PrEP services without cost sharing, including medication, clinic visits, and lab services. NASTAD has received multiple notifications of health plans not being in compliance with these federal requirements.



Providers and patients can use the PrEP Cost Sharing Complaint Template to file a complaint about an uncompliant health plan charging for PrEP services.
