Jennifer, Michigan is similar. But we do have some costs that are charged in a calendar year so we recode those that fall into the next award’s time period as soon as we get the allotment.

Subject: [lstac] Draw down question

Good morning from rainy Tennessee!

I’ve got two questions regarding how other states approach spending. If you have a chance to reply, it’ll be appreciated. How TN handles these questions is included, in case you’re curious as well!

  1. When do you start spending your award? Do you spend in both years of the award or just in the second year?
     * Tennessee spends in the 2nd year
  2. How often do you request a drawdown of your awarded funds?
     * Tennessee typically requests a drawdown quarterly

Thanks in advance!

Jennifer
