Dear Superintendents, Business Managers, and Benefits Administrators:

Watch Today's OEBB Board Meeting (1:00 pm - 3:00 pm) for 2017-18 Renewal Decisions
The OEBB Board plans to make renewal decisions for the 2017-18 plan year during today's public meeting April 25, 2017 (1:00 pm - 3:00 pm). While the meeting is in session, it can be viewed via live video stream at: http://oha.granicus.com/MediaPlayer.php?event_id=155. We will also make the recording available as soon as possible afterwards, although that process can take a number of days.

The link to the live video stream can also be found along with the meeting agenda and available meeting documents on the OEBB Board Meetings page of the OEBB website: http://www.oregon.gov/oha/OEBB/Pages/OEBB-Board-Meetings.aspx. Note: Some documents related to the renewal are confidential until they are officially presented in the meeting, and therefore we are unable to post them on the website for viewing during the live stream. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Rates and Plan Comparison Documents
When the Board has made their 2017-18 renewal decisions, OEBB staff will distribute the 2017-18 benefit summary plan comparisons and rate documents via email to all participating entities as soon as possible. Please allow up to 8 business days for this process to ensure the accuracy of the documents. We expect to distribute these documents no later than May 5th, and will do so as soon as they are available. If you are receiving this message, you are also on the list to receive these 2017-18 plan documents. We will also post the documents to the OEBB website, but by sending them via email we hope to provide you the information as quickly and conveniently as possible.

Insurance Committee Information - Recordings, PDFs, and Webinars
For Insurance Committees who want to learn about the 2017-18 plan options, we will have three convenient ways for you to access the information you need:


1)      Short carrier-specific videos will be available on the OEBB website;

2)      Associated PDF handouts will be available to download; and

3)      OEBB will host live webinars from mid-May to early June with OEBB and carrier representatives available real-time to present their plan offerings and answer any questions you may have.

We introduced this communication strategy last year and it was very well received. These tools provide instant access to the information you need as soon as it is available and you can watch and re-watch the topics that interest you as often as you like, whenever you like.
