Restore Oregon acts as a fiscal sponsor on occasion.  You need to document the arrangement carefully, as your organization becomes responsible for that money.  We charge a fee as we incur management and bookkeeping fees to track the restricted funds.

Hello fellow Main Street-ers!

I was curious if any of you are fiscal agents for other groups in your community.

Our Board has been contacted about being a fiscal agent for an upcoming 501c3 nonprofit so they can start collecting funds while they wait for their non-profit status to be processed.

Any insight, stories (good or bad), etc. would be greatly appreciated.
