Hi Steve --

The City of Sandy has been using LED strands for some time now -- we use
the G12 LED bulbs in bright white with 4' spacing....10' or 12' strands I
think.  But regardless of the type you choose, you can find the best
selection of Xmas lights locally at the following location in the
Mississippi District in Portland:

This store is just flat out awesome.  They can order pretty much anything
for you, but the best thing about them is....whatever you need, they
probably have it in stock right now.  Since you're in the Portland metro
area, I highly recommend visiting them when it's time to buy the lights.
