Kicking off the Holiday Shopping Season
Join NMSC this weekend as they promote the various days dedicated to supporting local small businesses, craftspeople, and nonprofits. They'll be focused on:

If you need help finding assets for this day, the American Express Shop Small<https://www.americanexpress.com/us/small-business/shop-small/?linknav=us-loy-nav-shopsmallbutton> site has some good content and assets for promoting the day. Call for Main Street Small Business Stories
Main Street America is launching a storytelling campaign<https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=LJJfVhqEG0GlYJ_xs-XVeO5JWDEcaXtFnhe-y6pBoJhUMDlEMlVFOFBUMFZESUdUM1ZXNU5QTlNMNi4u> that will focus on the symbiotic relationship between Main Street programs and their small businesses. This campaign has a dual purpose: to showcase different facets of the downtown small business ecosystem and to act as an advocacy tool, underlining the need to support both businesses and Main Street programs. To that end, we are looking for stories about both Main Street programs' role in supporting the local economy and specific impacts of the pandemic on small businesses.

These stories should be written by local Main Street directors, with a specific highlight of one small businesses that plays an outsized role in the downtown environment. Only one business per Main Street community will be featured to ensure as many towns are featured as possible. To capture this relationship, stories should cover two key areas: the Main Street program's response and the effects on the small business.

We will be looking to feature a diverse collection of businesses and storytellers, with a particular focus on minority and/or woman/nonbinary-owned businesses. To submit a story, please complete this form<https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=LJJfVhqEG0GlYJ_xs-XVeO5JWDEcaXtFnhe-y6pBoJhUMDlEMlVFOFBUMFZESUdUM1ZXNU5QTlNMNi4u>.
