[OMS_MANAGERS] Datafy Usage and Funding

The Albany Visitors Association received funds for a 1-year subscription to
PlacerAi. Albany Downtown Association was included as an added user. AVA
had a staffer, Alicen, attend multiple training sessions and learned to
use the program. Alicen was able to pull year-over-year event attendance. I
dabbled with it. The data gave us some numbers, and it was interesting to
see where people went before or after coming Downtown (Heritage Mall and
Costco), but I never really found an application for the information. It
was too expensive to continue the subscription. I think it would be useful
if it could be a DMO subscription and used locally as well.
There are other resources for road information through ODOT. I used traffic
counts available online when writing listings for available downtown
properties.
