[or-roots] How did they get here; (from archive)

My family came by train to SF, boat to the Columbia River and from there to
Oregon City by boat in 1873.  They traveled from Oregon City to Silverton
by horseback.  Am sure my other relatives arrived in the Forest Grove area
by much the same manner.  G-Grandfather was in Hillsboro by 1852 but he had
come across the plains.  Aileen
