  Sorry Ronda, I only found an A. B. Holcomb. He was mentioned as having been one of a number of other men who in the spring of 1850 found the "guilty as charged" indians responsible for the Whitman massacre.
  None of the other names you asked for are listed in the index, which so far has proven thorough. I will do my best to get Clarissa's pioneer tale transcribed for you soon.
