Subject: Extended Assessments: Test Administrators


Qualified Assessors (QA) and Qualified Trainers (QT) of the Extended Assessments, please note that if you were a QT or a QA last year, your district is relying on you to maintain district capacity to administer the Extended Assessments to any/all students identified by their IEP teams to participate in them. If you are unable to fill that role this year, please alert your SPED Director so that s/he can make the appropriate decisions based on ODE projections.

Those who were Qualified Assessors or Qualified Trainers last year are required to log onto the Oregon Extended Assessment Training and Proficiency website (http://or.k12test.com), after October 15th, review the "Updates...", and pass the Refresher Proficiency. In addition, all are required to receive training annually from either the DTC or STC on the test administration policies and procedures included in Oregon's current Test Administration Manual (posted at http://www.ode.state.or.us/search/page/?=486). Those who were Qualified Assessors last year, who wish to become Qualified Trainers and have been identified by their districts to do so this year, can find this "Notice" and additional information under the "Training" icon of Oregon Department of Education's Extended Assessment website at http://www.ode.state.or.us/search/results/?id=178.
