If you currently offer Short and/or Long Term Disability through The Standard, or are considering offering it in the future- are you aware of the covered benefits through the Workplace Possibilities Program?

The Standard’s Workplace Possibilities Program is changing the way educational entities manage absence and disability. This unique proactive approach helps keep employees at work and helps employees return to work after a medical leave by addressing and reducing the causes of absences and disabilities. Our Workplace Possibilities Team can:

• Perform ergonomic evaluations,

• Provide case management during a leave and referrals to your wellness vendors,

• Recommend devices that adapt to employees needs,

• Consult on accommodations for mental health conditions,

• Train supervisors to facilitate employees staying at work or returning to work, and

• Identify light duty for employees during recovery.

Services plus the cost of any equipment can be covered under the Reasonable Accommodation Expense Benefit in the STD/LTD polices.
