Hi Angi,
 
Peggy's comments were right on target! I think one of the most important factors is to have a clear agenda and have specific tasks assigned for people to report back on at the next meeting. Right up there, though, is to make sure volunteers are recognized...not just at the end of the process, but throughout project implement (see the inexpensive volunteer recognition ideas). Also attached are some other documents that also might be of help - yes, some more "bed side reading!"

Hello,

I'm looking for some advise on motivating committee volunteers. We did a great job finding committee members throughout the summer, then as it came time for our committee chairs to hold regular monthly meetings the last couple months we have had a hard time getting good attendance at their meetings.

Please provide any advise you may have on motivating our committee volunteers to show up for monthly meetings.
