Good afternoon,



Thank you all for helping us get the message out to employees about the new feature in Workday that allows employees to opt out of printing paper W-2s. Below is a link that will take you to the update that will also be posted in Workday Announcements by close of business Nov. 22, 2024.

Please note:

  *   All terminated employees and employees on leave will default to receiving both electronic and paper copy of W-2
  *   W-2 paper copies will be mailed no later than Jan. 31, 2025
  *   W-2 electronic copies will be available before paper copies are received
  *   If you have more than one "Company" under the "Tax Forms Printing Elections" section, please edit your current "Company" printing election.





Here are some suggested channels of communication to consider when communicating the opt out of paper W-2 message within your agency:

  *   Coordinate with internal communications teams on how to message this to employees
  *   Post on agency intranet pages
  *   Share in agency division/department notices and meetings
  *   Share with Human Resources department
